The activity is best suited for learners ages 11-15.

What is the duration of this program?

This is a ready-made 90 minute activity kit:

10 minutes for an opening (including the video)
1 hour for the group activity: 6 missions (10 minutes each)
10-20 minutes for summarizing and reflecting

How can this program be used?

You can use this program to enrich Jewish history classes or Israel studies.
It can be implemented both in formal settings such as a classroom or as an experiential activity in summer camp, youth groups, communities and other frameworks.
It can be run in one sitting or split over two separate class periods. You can also expand the main program with our suggested Extension Activities found later in these pages

What are the main educational goals of the program?

This activity kit offers learners an opportunity to experience the historian's role in identifying, sorting and assessing information by bringing history to life: exploring how primary sources construct the story of a person or event, encouraging the learners to make the connections and find personal relevance in this story from the past.

What skills are used in this program?

Learners will practice core skills in observation, analysis and constructing narratives, as well as life skills such as problem-solving, communication and cooperation.

What materials do I need when using the program?

Some basic writing supplies and envelopes, as detailed in the Educator’s Guide
One smartphone/tablet device for each group and use of some simple tools found online
