8th Yom Ha'atzmaut Poster, 1956

Since the establishment of the State of Israel, the Israeli government has commissioned graphic artists to design posters for Yom Ha'atzmaut (Independence Day).
In this poster, designed by the Shamir brothers, the number 8 is prominent, in the shape of a blue and white ribbon.

On top one can see the emblem of the State of Israel - the menorah and olive branches.
