In my poster, I drew a big airplane flying with a banner that says “HAPPY 77TH BIRTHDAY” to show that it’s Israel’s birthday. I also drew a group of people walking and celebrating, including a girl pointing at the airplane, a father and daughter, and other kids. One girl is holding a balloon with a Magen Dovid on it, which shows pride in being Jewish. All of these people represent Jews coming together to celebrate Israel. My poster answers the question: What role does Israel play in the Jewish world? It shows that Israel is a place where Jews can come together and feel joy and pride.
The celebration in my poster shows how Israel unites people from different backgrounds. It plays a big role in Jewish life because it’s a place we can all connect to and celebrate The message of my poster is that Israel brings happiness and unity to the Jewish people. It is a place where we can all celebrate and feel like we belong.
I was inspired by the 19th Yom Ha’atzmaut poster from 1967 because it also shows people walking and looking up in celebration. I also got ideas from the 1960 JNF “Bikkuri” poster, which shows colorful children celebrating together. These posters helped me create a happy and united scene for Israel’s birthday.
