For our poster, we decided to create a wooden cutout of the state of Israel. Shape was very central in our planning of the design. We decided to incorporate lots of color to symbolize the people that Israel is made of. As you look to the bottom of the piece, you see lots of people looking up to Jerusalem, symbolizing the different religions Israel is home to. Towards the middle of the piece, you see the words "Am Echad, Lev Echad" which means "one nation, one heart" and you can see many Jewish symbols around those impactful words. Our poster connects to the values that Israel plays in multiple different aspects. As you look to that bottom of the piece you see lots of people looking up to Jerusalem, symbolizing the different religions Israel is home to, and above that you see a picture of a soldier, surrounded by the words "not all heroes wear capes" The message that is conveyed in our poster is Jewish unity, kindness, and peace. Our poster represents the feeling of togetherness and love for Israel.
We were inspired by the posters of the Torahtenou School Students, Gefen Malchi from the Olami Ort (Mexico), and Rachael Elisha, Savannah Ferraro, Jonah Klein
from the Donna Klein Jewish Academy
