The shape of my poster is on an angle, with the flag of Israel serving as the beautiful sky rising high. Perspective played an important role in our painting. The varied landscapes of Israel, the sea, the desert the mountains and the beautiful sky. The lines of the Israeli flag show waving in the sky. My parents were born in Israel, so it plays a major part of our family's story. The homeland for all kinds of Jewish people.
We attend a Jewish day school and we learn about Israel. We even have a sister school in Northern Israel. I centered my poster around the types of trees that one may see in Israel. The Sabra cactus, represents strength and resilience of the Jewish people with the sweetness of our souls. The poster from Yom Ha'atzmaut in 1980 was inspiring to me.
