The major elements I used on my poster were the yellow ribbon and the Jewish star. The yellow ribbon represents bringing the hostages home and a call for support. The yellow ribbon blanketing the Jewish star represents the same thing, showing how much support Israel deserves. I also added the Israeli flag in the corner. Everything I drew all leads back to Israel and the hope for safety. Israel shapes my Jewish story by showing me that there is a reason to strengthen my Jewish identity. Israel is the holy land created for us, which explains to me that we really are the chosen people. Knowing that, I would never feel uneasy or embarrassed about being a Jew. I have experienced watching Jews doing something spectacular for other Jews that some people would think is impossible. It shows me how grateful I should be for being Jewish and born into a stable religion that all comes from Israel. Due to how much hate Israel and Jews get, I’ve seen that Jews are always there to help other Jews because they know how much they need each other. I took the blue and yellow from him, adding them to mine. I also took inspiration from the Jewish Star he added on his flower.
