The people dancing the traditional hora, representing community, the Star of David stands for Jewish identity and unity. The gazelle, olive tree, and anemones (all national symbols)represent Israel’s nature and fertility.
Israel represents unity, tradition, and connection:to the land, to identity, and to each other. The dancing shows strong community, the nature and national symbols show pride, peace, and belonging. The Star of David reminds us of the faith and hope we all have within us.
The poster shows Israel as a place of shared roots, joy, identity and humanity likeness . The hora dance and the several national symbols represent Israel’s unity, tradition, and a deep bond with the land.
This Rosh Hashanah card inspired me with its image of people dancing the hora by the sea, showing unity, tradition, the core of being human and the joyous things within it, which I think is beautiful . It reminded me of the strong connection between community and the land of Israel, which I wanted to show in my own poster.
