The major elements of my poster are people holding hands and different places. The people holding hands represent everyone coming together. The different places represent that Israel is full of different types of places. Some examples are farms, deserts and oceans. Israel represents the value of people coming together, or the melting pot. People from all around the world came to the safety of Israel. It also shows the value of acceptance, and in my poster I showed all different types of people. Anybody who wants to come could. Orthodox or Reform, farmer or rabbi, mother or daughter: Israel accepts anyone. So, two essential values that Israel represents are the value of people coming together and the value of acceptance. The primary source I chose to use was the 34th Yom Ha'atzmaut Poster, 1982. That picture looks like stained glass even though it isn’t, and I thought that was really cool. The stained glass is a really pretty background and I thought it would be cool to use it in a picture. That is why I chose the primary source 34th Yom Ha'atzmaut Poster, 1982.
