I talked to my little students about the anniversary in question. They drew and wrote some words. I selected and inserted into the poster those that seemed to me the most significant. And this (in the poster) is the result. • What role does Israel play in the Jewish world? Israel is the Jewish state, and they can go there when they need to; it is their land • How does Israel shape my Jewish history? We are not Jews, but we know Jewish history in depth, from the beginning to today. The students, even young ones, know what happened during the Second World War and beyond. • What values does Israel represent today? I hope it represents the values we hold dear: peace, hope, freedom, love. We want to convey universal values: peace, freedom, hope, love. These are values that are dear to us as well as to the whole world, I believe. We watched the website, and you chose something about culture, holidays, and festivals. Pupils had chosen some pictures, and they reworked them with their thoughts.
