The painting, dedicated to Israel’s Independence Day, features the silhouette of the country colored in the national flag’s blue and white, with a central Star of David and a golden menorah. Two white doves fly above it, symbolizing peace and hope. Israeli flags frame the composition and also appear in the center. At the bottom, a golden cityscape reminiscent of Jerusalem rises with tall towers and buildings. The blue sky and rays of light convey a sense of spiritual uplift and celebration. Israel demonstrates many important values for the world. Firstly, it is the value of freedom and independence. Israel was established as a place where Jews can live safely and freely after many years of suffering. Finally, Israel continues to fight for peace and stability in the region, striving to find ways for dialogue and cooperation with neighboring countries. These values are important for the entire world and show how we can build a better future together. My poster conveys a message of peace, unity, and national pride. The doves and flags symbolize hope and harmony for the future of Israel. The golden city represents Jerusalem, the heart of the nation, shining with strength and history. The main resources I used from the National Library of Israel for creating this poster were historical maps of Israel, images of the Israeli flag, and illustrations of Jerusalem’s architecture. I also drew inspiration from symbols like the menorah and the dove, which appear in various national and cultural archives. These elements helped us create a meaningful and authentic representation of Israel’s independence.
