I used the same magenta background as the inspiration to make the yellow of the lemons, green of the limes, and orange of the, well orange, pop out more. Then I used thicker lines on the edge of the woman to emphasize how strong she is. I put the woman more on the side, so she could both have her arm flex, but also because she isn't the only focus in the picture. I also used mainly rounded lines to show warmness and friendliness though the tough exterior of both.
My poster shows that Israel represents the value of strength because like lemons, strength is human made, not something you're just born with. And lemons along with the citrus fruits bred to make all grow in Israel! And this isn't just physical strength, this is also persisting when times are hard, empathy, your strength for Judaism (different for everyone! not just observing the holidays), and your community strength. The message my poster conveys is that anybody (especially girls and woman) can be strong, independent, empathetic, and powerful Jewish role models, not just boys and men.
Citrus is a special fruit, can help you grow stronger, make you feel better, and is colorful and delicious! Israel makes these magical citrus fruits, Israel is also example to Jewish kids all over the world to be strong in their faith, my poster is meant to highlight Jewish strength and happiness.
The Citrus Marketing Board advertisement inspired me at first just because I love citrus. But after looking and planning I thought, "Why isn't/can't that be a woman?" Women can be strong too, in the heart, muscle, stomach, and all. So I made reimagined the poster, but in my style and instead of a muscly man, a strong woman. I also chose to give her a kippah because she can also be a strong role model in Judaism.
