I chose to draw two things that are connected to each other.
The first is the war happening right now — a soldier fighting and protecting, with other soldiers behind him holding wepons and the Israeli flag.
The second is a person wrapped in a Tallit praying at the Western Wall.
In my opinion, these two things go together. Prayer helps in times of war. God always protects us, and we should always pray to Him. Israel shaped my Jewish story because after October 7, there were a lot of protests near my house and I remember driving by them and screaming "עם ישראל חי!” If it was during Shabbat me and my family would walk there and sing “אני מאמין”."After that, I felt even more proud to be Jewish because it was the first time I truly expressed my Jewish faith without being scared. Prayer helps in times of war! An old black-and-white photo of a man wearing a Tallit and praying at the Western Wall.
