Since the establishment of the State of Israel, the Israeli government has commissioned graphic artists to design posters for Yom Ha'atzmaut (Independence Day).
The subject of this poster, by Gideon Sagi, is one hundred years of settlement in the Land of Israel, beginning with the first Aliya in 1882. In the poster there are three stages that describe the settlement.

The first stage (on the right) depicts the beginning of the settlement. The land is still brown, and there are no crops, a single farmer plows the land with a horse, and only one large house is visible in the background. In the second phase (the middle), perhaps from the years after the establishment of the state, we see an expansion in the size of the areas: the large brown field is divided into several fields and orchards with different crops such as citrus trees. You can still see some buildings or industrial buildings related to agriculture.

The third phase (on the left) represents the 1980s. There is a significant expansion in the amount of land, and the division between agriculture and industry is almost equal. High residential buildings are also clearly visible and next to them are cars and roads. A ship is seen in the sea, indicating the export overseas.
