This poster was created by the Bnei Brith organization as part of the protest against the Soviet authorities and their refusal to allow Jews to leave the USSR for Israel. Many organizations produced posters and postcards during the decades-long campaign in support of Soviet Jewry.
The poster has a mostly dark background with a strip of red running down the left-hand side. Inside the red strip is a sad-looking figure, and across the entire poster is a dark grey chain which seems to imprison the figure. Underneath the figure the words “Let My People Go” are written in large, white Hebrew letters.
