  • Participants select and cut out 3-4 primary sources from the Maccabiah Photo Finish Highlights source sheet. Before choosing their primary sources, they should think about (1) the historical significance of the primary sources, (2) the connection to their time traveling around Israel and competing during the Maccabiah games, and (3) how it relates to their connection to and feelings about being a Jewish athlete.
  • Participants arrange and glue their primary sources on a sheet of paper in a linear sequence that tells a meaningful story about their identity as a Jewish athlete and how Israel fits into their identity. Write a 1-2 sentence caption underneath each primary source describing what it represents.
  • Participants give their sequence a title that reflects the story they are telling.
  • Participants present their stories.
